About the Senior UX Designer Position

Study.com is looking for an experienced Senior UX Designer that can provide mentorship for a team of designers as well as be a hands-on contributor in an extremely fast-paced agile environment. You strive to create world-class user experiences that balance the needs of the user while optimizing for key business metrics like conversion and retention. The ideal candidate will thrive on seeing the product continually iterate into something our users can’t wait to get their hands on and refuse to let the “perfect” be the enemy of the shippable. You must be comfortable using data to validate design decisions and have experience with qualitative and A/B testing. You should have a clean sense of design and enjoy creating elegantly simple user experiences from otherwise complex workflows.

We are looking for a Senior UX Designer with an outstanding portfolio and at least 8 years designing for web and mobile. This is not a UX & Research only position.  You must also be experienced at doing beautiful and clean visual design.

Please provide a portfolio featuring examples of UX and visual design work to be considered for this position.

This is a great opportunity for problem solvers, who are comfortable working with ambiguity and enjoy the process of creative exploration and building functional prototypes. As a creative, tech-savvy designer, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the business and increase your knowledge of conversion and usability testing and end-to-end user experience design.

  • Navigate a fast-paced Agile environment requiring independent self-direction with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication
  • Contribute to the product roadmap with ideas for evolving and iterating the user experience based on quantitative data and user research
  • Work with the product owners and cross-functional teams to come up with test options and utilize A/B testing to validate design solutions
  • Designing landing pages and site interactions to segment users, effectively convey product benefits and drive trial conversion

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in UX/UI Design
  • Advanced skills in interaction design, information architecture, usability evaluation, and user research
  • Strong visual design skills
  • Experience building rich, interactive prototypes or web applications using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Invision, Figma, and other prototyping and visualization software
  • Ability to quickly grasp goals and requirements from light specifications
  • Experience with conversion testing and landing page/funnel optimization

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor required by law to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. Identifying yourself as an individual with a disability is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer will be maintained confidentially and not be seen by selecting officials or anyone else involved in making personnel decisions. Completing the form will not negatively impact you in any way, regardless of whether you have self-identified in the past. For more information about this form or the equal employment obligations of federal contractors under Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
