Study.com is searching for a Vice President of Product Management who is excited and passionate about our mission of making education accessible.   This position will report to the Chief Product Officer and will be a collaborative, hands-on, motivating leader, who will drive both the business and product strategy for a significant portion of our direct-to consumer business. The Vice President of Product Management will lead and coach our product teams to deliver exemplary results against our product plans, collaborate with leadership to create the right product vision and strategy to win in our various user segments and product lines, as well as coordinate with stakeholders across the organization to set revenue goals and determine business priorities.  Serving as a General Manager for a portion of our B2C business, this position will be a key leader in the organization and create the overall roadmap and update on an as-needed basis. 

Our Product Management team’s core mission is to delight customers and grow market share by creating evidence-based product strategies that identify new products, features, and services. We obsessively seek to understand customers’ perspective, are business savvy, have a bias toward data-driven action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. Product managers also serve as the product owners for our product teams, helping lead cross-functional product development teams on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a general manager for a portion of our B2C business, including coordinating product, marketing, content, and services needed to achieve revenue goals.
  • Work with leadership to create and evangelize a product vision, strategy for the business
  • Create the overall roadmap and update as needed.
  • Manage backlogs across multiple product teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers to solve complex problems.
  • Review business and product results consistently with leadership, suggesting changes to the business or product plans.
  • Manage, motivate, coach, and develop a team of product managers.
  • Step in for your product managers as team product owners when necessary.

Requirements

  • Passion and alignment with our core mission of making education accessible.
  • 10+ years product management experience managing multi-team product strategy and creating roadmap.
  • Ownership of revenue goals with proven track record of successful growth
  • Demonstrated experience in building, managing, motivating, and developing a team.
  • Consumer SaaS product experience as well as experience in one of the following areas:
    • EdTech and e-learning
    • Digital content and media, (focus on video)
    • Other direct-to-consumer business models
  • Scrum-certified with extensive knowledge of agile development methodologies
  • Experience with SEO, growth product execution, content strategy development, machine learning/adaptive learning is a huge plus.
